An affinity SSB device is produced through immobilisation of a specific ligand on the surface of SSB supports. The feeding liquor is then passed through the SSB device where the target molecules will specifically bind to the modified surface while impurities and the liquid will pass by unhindered.

Following washing and an elution/desorption step, target molecules will be recovered in a purified and concentrated state.
